Through the hills we go!

My dear housemate Esther has a beautiful and generous soul - she introduced me and shared with me these markers. Here is one of my experimentations.

Mountains. Cycling. Wind. Nature - are all those things I love. I want to be that girl in the picture - breezing through the valley in style on her bike:)

Joy of Reading

Books are like windows to the unexplored worlds, to the minds we can't simply access if we don't stop and listen. Reading is listening, and travelling together.
They will take you to places you have never been in joy and fascination.

A friend of mine has a whole blog dedicated just to books. Here it is: https://gribook.wordpress.com/

When our wants exceed capacity...

This was created to complete a short assignment for my Expository Writing class. My task was to write a text - a message, without using words. It also had to have just one central idea.

Thus, I chose the medium that I know best - drawing. I drew this little girl's story about being greedy.

Lately I have been traveling a lot. When you do not use half of your suitcase or when your backpack weighs so much, you realize how many things you actually do not need.

Snipping to the Ocean

During my semester in Massachussets I met quite a few wonderful people. One of them was Sarah. Sarah was a friend of my friends and an art student. She filled ordinary moments with joy, inspiration, love and life. Sometimes I ran into her in the arts center - Barrington, sometimes we went cycling or tandeming, and other times we just simply talked. Thank you friend for overflowing moments with joy and love.

Thus, to Sarah:
for wonderful tandem biking trips to the ocean
      for inspiration
      for creativity
for climbing on Barrington's  roof at midnight

Raudonkepuraitė/ Apple Picking

To an adventurous and wonderful friend Audrey Diana DeNoyer Moore:
from the pocket tales: apple picking

In Autumn of 2011, I shared a room with Diana - a lovely girl from Cornerstone. A gentle, book-loving, fashion-interested, enjoying-cooking girl. Our room was, simply stated, small. Thus, we called it 'The Pocket'. Next to our university campus was an old garden. It was Autumn. This means it was apple season. Perhaps twice or 3 times we went apple picking there. And then it was all about apple pies, baked apples, fried apples, apples with noodles, apples with rice...

Summer Projects

It was a beautiful, a little bit chilly summer day (even for Lithuania) and Aurelija decided to go to the sea and visit her Klaipėda's friends.

Allison, who always accepts travelers and provides them with the sleeping surface, has 1000 ideas in her head. And I happened to stay with her.

Allison is a heavy reader and a lover of books. In addition to this, she sometimes feels lonely in her studio apartment in the old town of Klaipėda. Thus, she came up with a great idea how to use her friend's talent - to ask for a reading friend.

Hence, with a help of Vaiva's pencil and an eraser and Emas' paints, the girl was created and now she is sitting on one of the paintings above the couch.
